When I wrote about being kind to yourself, I mentioned the importance of replacing negative self-talk. One practice I have found very effective is listening to affirmations recorded in my own voice. I use an app called ThinkUp but you can use a simple voice recorder on your phone. Your words hold creative power – consider what you want to create for yourself, starting with how you see yourself. I have recorded affirmations in several categories like, I Am…, Love, Gratitude, general blessings that are mine, and speaking blessings over my body and health. I will share examples on this site that you can use, and of course, feel free to add your own!
